Wanted Some Money.
The.,-Patea Landj and Inve^mentfSociety ■wants inojriey. lit must hot be imagined that the Society, is “hard up” in the sense in which that term is usually applied when an individual is a little worse off than nothing. On the contrary!they y;is ?in f a.particularly flourishing state, in fact they have lent; every penny they can lay thetr hands on,; and still want more. In one sense therefore; the Society may be said to be “ hard up,” but as so many applications are being re-; ceivcd for advances, that thejdirectorshave resolved to borrow in order that they may lend. Hence they are calling for deposits,; either in large or small sums, at a very good rate of interest. There are plenty of men about who are possessed of a few; pounds and (hey could not find a more profitable way of disposing of their money than by lending it to a building society. They will find no difficulty with Mr Eyton, the courteous manager, who will be happy to take care of their cash for as long as (hey like, and, in place of being paid for his services, he will pay instead; After this we have no doubt the Society’s coffers will be full in a week.
