(pee press association.) WELLINGTON, This day. ; Captain Edwin telegraphs:—Weather; forecast from 9 a.m. to-day. Wind—' between north-west and sonth-west at; all places north of Napier and New; Plymouth, and between north-east* and north-west at all other places. Barometer:—Rise, but falling again after- 12 hours at all places north, of Gisborne and New Plymouth.; Further fall at all other places.; Sea and all places ’‘north of East; cape on eastern coast. Warnings; for northerly gales have been sent to all places south of Napier and New Ply-: mouth. Synopsis of last 24 hours: Southwest to southeast winds have continued at most places north of Napier and New Plymouth, but have changed to the northeast everywhere else during the afternoon. The weather has been fine in all parts of the country and the barometer has fallen steadily.
