* ; At-Christchurch yesterday Mr Milner Steyhen was sued by an hotel-keeper, named Collier, to recover £2 2s fee paid for the alleged healing plaintiff’s daughter. The evidence showed that Mr Stephen, after laying his hands on the child, who had a contracted leg, said to Collier, “ Your daughter is cured.” He (Collier) signed a testimonial beW Moving that to be ; the case, but it turned out that the child was no better. Several witnesses confirmed plaintiffs’ statement, and the case which lasted all day, was eventually adjourned for a week. Mr Stephen is having a “ good time” in Christchurch.
