WEATHER REPORT.
Captain Edwin telegraphs as follows : “ Weather forecast for 24 hours, from 9 a.m. to-day:—Wind between northeast and north-west in both islands. Barometer—further fall at all stations south of Napier arid , New Plymouth, and fall at all other stations within twelve ho,urs. Sea heavy on western coast, and between Castle Point arid Lyttelton on East Coast. Warnings for northerly gales were sent to all stations south of Wellington and Westport late yesterday afternoon, and have been sent to-day to most North Island stations. Synopsis of last 24 hours :—Southward of Gisborne and New Plymouth the barometer has fallen steadily, from thence northward it has risen slowly.”
