(per press association.) AUCKLAND, March 9. Steps are already being taken in Auckland to give Mr Redmond, the Land Leaguer, a good reception by JKose favourable to leagues. Mr J. A. Pond, the Provincial Analyst, and Mr Oheeseman, Curator of the Auckland Museum, have tested the large Raglan diamond, and are satisfied as to its genuineness. The only doubts they have now are as to the locality whence it was obtained. It is now rumoured that there are discoveries of diamonds in Whangarei and Hokianga Counties. WELLINGTON, March 9.
