Tho*monthly meeting of the Harbour Board was held on : Monday, Messrs Gibson, Adams* rand Newland being present. . ’ • • DETAINED LEASES. Messrs Chapman and Fitzgerald wrote stating that copies of certain leases had not been returned to them. . It was resolved to take the communi---cation into considerntion at next meeting, and, in tho meantime the Chairman should interview the Commissioner of Lands in the matter. •: PAYMENT OF ACCOUNT. Mr F. M. Chapman forwarded £8 11s,.in.payment; of account for rates, and4expressed-his indignation at the Board having issued a summons against him. TREASURY PAYMENT. " ‘ The -Treasury remitted- £o os,’” on account -of Government.phorggs, : V -. ■ REDUCING ACCOUNT. 1 " ’Mr' E. 0. Horner, manager of the .Pa tea Shipping Company wrote,: acknowledging receipt of account from the Board for £27.9s 4d, for of appliances and loss of anchor, in ■ connection M with stranding of tho Company’s steamers. A reduction was asked for in regard to the anchor, on the ground of surrounding circumstances and chance of recovery. Mr A.
