The annual meeting of householders for (he purpose of electing a School conunitteo for the coming year is to be held this evening. Considerable :interest is usually taken in these elections By the householders in this district, and, no doubt, there’ will be a little excitement over the election. ’ "

The annual meeting of subscribers to the;Wayerley Institute is called for Monday, *29, th inst. It is a pity so little interest is taken in the Institution. As it will require the signatures of two-thirds of the ratepayers within the district, it will take some little Time’ to get completed. I see a movement is on foot to form a separate Board for Nos. 1 and 2 Wards, a number of the ratepayers not being satisfied with !the expenditure in those wards.
