To start at 4.45 p.m. • ■ RULES, No entry will be received for any races except upon this condition—That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided ,by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Hon Secretary, Hawera, entrance money enclosed, with the name, age at time of entry. pedigree, and. in case of handicaps, performances of the horse, name of the owner,. and colours of tiro rider. Any jockey ridingexcept in the colours entered will be fined 3 sovs. When two or snore horses start, the property of the same owner, a distinguishing colour must, he worn. Any -person neglecting or refusing to comply with this, rule shall pay a fine ,of 2 . sovs to the race fund. District Race Handicap will close at the Hon Secretary’s office, Hawera, on 24th February, at 10 a.m. Weights to be declared on 2nd March. Acceptances and general entries will close on Gth March, at the Hon Secretary’s office, Hawera, at 0 p.m. The attention of owners is directed' to the fact that the club now possesses an excellent course, and that upwards of £IOOO has been, spent in improvements.
