RIFLE COMPETITION.
. A friendly match between Hawera and Patea Rifle Corps was fired on Saturday,' .the former making a total of 500 points and the latter 508. The weather here was fine and calm, though.the atmosphere was hazy with smoke. The ranges were two, three, and four, five shots at each range, target at two and threcj, six by four, and at four, sis by sis., There were twelve to fire on each side, but one of the Patea men did not turn up.
