MANUTAHI SHEEP FAIR. MrW. Cowern reports 2,220 sheep wore yarded, of which a little over half sold. The attendance of buyers was exceedingly limited, tho continued drought' having a very depressing effect. Store wethers made 9 ; do. csvos, 7s and 7s 9d ; fat ewes, os. 11s wore offered for fat wethers and 5s for lambs, but declined. MAIL NOTICES. Mails arc despatched from Patea as follow - DAILY MAILS OUTWARD. For Wavevley, Waitotara, Maxwell town Kci Iwi, Wanganui, and South, twice daily ; box closes at 1-15 p.m. and 7 p.m. For Kakaramca. Manutfthi, Hawera. Normanby, Stratford. Inglewood, New 7 Plymou’h ami North, at 11-15 a.m. Direct mails to Nelson and Wellington by every steamer. Letters must be marked “ per steamer." Francis Long.
