LAND SALE AT WANGANUI.

(per press association) WANGANUI, Friday.* Mr J. S. Holclsworth, Crown Lands Commissioner, held a sale to-day of the Tokomarn Block and Harbour Board Endowment Block, on deferred and cash payments. Of 75 sections offered, eleven were sold on deferred payments and seven on cash payments. Not much interest was taken in the sale. The land realised on the average about 35s per acre.
