Colonel Wellesley, for dissolution of marriage on the'gronnd of'desertion and adultery with Kate Vaughan, ah actress, has been granted. It is rumoured in well informed circles here that Sir Arthur Gordon will he appointed Governor of Jamaica, Sir Anthony Mulgrave, Governor of Ceylqnyvand Colonel Sir William Francis Drum-" mond Jaryois, K.C.M.G- 7 at -present Governor of South Australia, will be promoted to the Governorship of New Zealand, while Sir John Pope Hennessy will assume the Governorship of Queensland. The prisoners have been arraigned separately, and the trial of the first was concluded to-day, the prisoner being found guilty. BERLIN, Nov. 14. In the Legislative Assembly to-night Sir Bryan O’Loghlen stated that he was willing to modify the Loan Conversion Bill, and provide for three Bills in its place, one for a loan of £3,800,000, one for inscription of stock, and one for a small loan to be raised in the colony for certain necessaryfpnblic works. The House, it is understood, generally approves of the Premier’s amended posalsSYDNEY, Nov. 16. In the Legislative Assembly to-night the debate on the second reading of the Land Act Amendment Bill was closed, and on going to a division, the Bill was negatived by 43 to 33. In consequence of the result of the division, the Premier, Sir Henry Parkes, moved the adjournment of the House, which was agreed to. It is generally believed that the Ministry will resign in comequ3nce of its defeat.
