The programme was somewhat similar to. that gone-through on the previous evening, and to judge from the frequent applause was heartily appreciated by those present. A number of panoramic views of places in Egypt, Italy, Switzerland, England, Wales, and America was shown, Mr Power giving a very humorous descriptive lecture, in which he took occasion to introduce a very amusing parody on the well-nigh worn threadbare song of “ Nancy Lee.” A song by Mdlle. After the usual interval of ten minutes, a musical sketch entitled “ The Rose and the Thorn,” in which the characters were sustained by Mr Power and Mdlle. de Glorian, was presented and gone through very creditably.
