RIFLE SHOOTING.
A handicap competition for a number of prizes was fired at the rifle range yesterday. The handicap consisted of the first-class shots firing at 400, 500, and 600 yards ; and the second-class at 300, 400, and 500 yards. The day was anything but favorable for shooting, a strong southerly wind blowing all day across the range. Despite the handicap of wind and distance, the first-class shots secured the more valuable prizes. The following are the scores ; 300 400 600 600 yds yds yds yds Tl. Col.-Scrgt.
