As a six-ycar-old he won the Railway Plate at Waitara and the Wanganui Cup Handicap, 2} miles, 7st Sib. His performance at the Wanganui Spring Meeting, winning the Handicap with list 41b, and immediately after, against fresh horses, winning the Railway Plate with fist 31b, in 2min. 46sec., proves him to be, for speed, endurance, and weight-carrying, a horse that has few equal*. His four-year-old running at Waverley was equally good, winning the Cup, weight for age, 2 miles, and Handicap, with top weight, Bst 121b, 2 miles, against fresh horses. In the Wanganui Cup he beat three of the fastest and best horses on the turf at the present day.
