These arc all horses that won many of the best weight-for-age races and many of the largest handicaps carrying often top weight. Hailstorm’s own performance on the turf for consistent running is unequalled by any horse in New Zealand. He has started twenty-seven times and won sixteen races, second iive times, third twice, unplaced four times. As a three-year-old he won Welter race at Patea and Forced Handicap and Maiden Plate at Napier. As a four-year he won Carlyle Cup, 2 miles, and J.C. Handicap, 2 miles. 7st 41b ; Wanganui Stakes Handicap, 2\ miles, Bst slb ; Waverley-Waitotara Cup, 2 miles, weight for age, and Handicap, 2 miles, Bst 121b ; Taranaki Cup, 2 miles, weight for age, and Welter race, 1 p m., weight for age. As a five-year-old he won the Wanganui Stakes Handicap, 2j milcs, 9st 41b, and Railway Plate, 1-g miles, weight for age, and the Railway Handicap at Patea, miles, 9st 71b. As a six-ycar-old he won the Railway Plate at Waitara and the Wanganui Cup Handicap, 2} miles, 7st Sib. His performance at the Wanganui Spring Meeting, winning the Handicap with list 41b, and immediately after, against fresh horses, winning the Railway Plate with fist 31b, in 2min. 46sec., proves him to be, for speed, endurance, and weight-carrying, a horse that has few equal*. His four-year-old running at Waverley was equally good, winning the Cup, weight for age, 2 miles, and Handicap, with top weight, Bst 121b, 2 miles, against fresh horses. In the Wanganui Cup he beat three of the fastest and best horses on the turf at the present day.

Terms —£B 10s each mare, and 5s the groom. Good paddocks for mares, free for one month ; 2s a week will be charged for each mare after that time. Every mare must be removed and paid for by December Ist, when the season will close. Every care will be taken of mares, but no responsibility incurred.
