On Court resuming in the Oamaru murder case this morning, the foreman intimated that there was no probability of the jury agreeing. Jury were then discharged. Mr O’Meagher said he was unequal to proceeding with the case again at present, and he agreed that the new trial should take place at the January sittings. Beattie was removed to his former .custody. Eight of the jury were for acquittal and the remainder for conviction.
