An instance of the durability of ti-tree wood is, says the Auckland Star, afforded by the excavation now going on in Vulcan lane in connection with the improvements to the- Queen’s Ferry Hotel. Several ti-tree house blocks, which have been in the swampy ground for forty years, were brought to light recently. The heart of the wood was found to be as sound as the day it was cut. M.
