THE NEW MINISTER.
(per press association WELLINGTON, Oct. 10. Mr E. T. Connolly, member for Picton, has consented to join the Government, and to take office as Minister of Justice. As this will relieve the Hon. T. Dick of one of his offices, it is intended that lie shall take the Postmaster-Generalship and the Electric Telegraph Commisaionership, so that the Hon. W. W. Johnston will he able to devote himself wholly to the Public Works Department.
