HELP FOR THE WIDOW AND ORPHANS. Mb Editor. Sir, —Would you kindly, through the medium of your paper, thank the Foresters and friends who so kindly promised their aid in my time of need. Though God has seen fit to take my dear husband, he has left me my two hands to work for my dear children and myself ; so I beg leave to decline any assistance whatsoever from the Foresters. The agent of the public trustee has been winding up the affairs of my late husband, but although many months have elapsed I have received no statement of his affairs, and do not know how much I am to receive, when I may expect it, nor whether I may expect anything.

Mbs J. J. Whelan.
