Our land sale on the 10th was largely attended, but there was very little animation amongst bidders. Cattle—At the Manaia yards on (he 22st inst the quantity of stock advertised did not come forward, consequently entries were very smal I. At the Hawera yards on the 28th 230 head cattle were yarded. Bidding throughout was spirited, every pen being sold at the hammer, and at an advance upon late ruling prices; We quote yearlings from L2 4s 6d to L 3 12s ; 2-year old steers, L 4 ; store cows, L 3 10s to L 3 18s ; milch cows, L 7 10s.
