Acceptances and entries for the Maiden Plate close on Saturday, 16th December, 1882. The rules of the Wanganui Jockey Club will be adhered to, as far as practicable. All nominations to contain age, name, color, sex, pedigree, and performances of horses, and name of owner. Colors of riders to be sent in with acceptances. To start at 3 p.m. 6, Waverley and Waitotara Handicap —l5O sovs ; 2 miles ; second horse to receive 20 sovs, and third horse 5 sovs out of the stakes ; winner of any race of the value of 100 sovs after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of 7 lbs ; top. weight not to exceed 10 stone ; nomination, 2 sovs ; acceptance, 5 sovs. To start at 4 p.m. Hack Race— To start at 4.30 p.m. 7. Forced Handicap— 2s sovs ; once round the course ; entrance, winning horses I sov, losing horses 10s. To start at 5 p.m. RULES. Nominations for the Handicap Hurdles, Flying Hanpicap, and the W.W, Handicap, close on the 2nd October, at 7 o’clock p.m, at Ballam’s Hotel. Weights declared on the 12th October. Acceptances and general entries on the 18th October, at 5 o’clock p.m,, at Ballam’s Commercial Hotel, Waverley. No entries will be received for any race except upon this condition —that all disputes, claims and objections arising out of the racing, shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Hon. Secretary, Box No 12, Waverley ; entrance money enclosed (exchange added to cheques)', with the name, age at lime of entry, pedigree, and, in case of handicaps, the performances, of the horse, name of the owner, and colors of the rider. Any jockey riding except in colors entered will be fined 3 sovs. When two or more horses start, the property of the same owner, a distinguishing color must be worn.
