Freeman R. Jackson’s Fortnightly Stock Report, Wanganui, August, 2Bnl. At (ho St. Hill-street sale yards to-day 205 head of cattle and 730 sheep were yarded, ail of which were quilted at satisfactory prices, wiMi a few trifling exceptions. Cattle.—Fat bullocks, £7 10-* (o £8 15s ; good forward store hn.locks, £5 10s to £5 15s ; cows in calf, £3 12s 6d ; 2-year-old steers, £3 5s ; yearlings,' £2 2s to £2 ss. yheop.—Fat wethers, IGs ; good stole do, 13-1 ; merinos, 6s 9J. Pigs.—A few good bacon pigs were sold at 17s ; potkns, 6s. Horses were in fair demand, and sold at satisfactory prices. Dransiht brood marcs, £l4 5s to £lB 15s ; unbroken draught 2-ycar-old geldings, £lO to £l2 ; hacks, £5 10s to £l2. Exports. —24 head cattle, 384 sheep, 60 pigs.
