FREEZING THE BUTCHERS.

A funny correspondent writes to an English paper£sooo Reward,— Whereas a great consignment of New Zealand mutton, consisting of 5000 carcases in prime condition, was lately landed in England. And whereas* the whole of such 5000 carcases, having been previously denounced by the butchers as ‘ wet, flabby, and unwholesome looking stuff,’ have since mysteriously disappeared. This is to give notice that the above reward, or a proportionate part thereof, will be paid for snch information as shall lead to the discovery of all, or any, of the carcases aforesaid. N.B.— Supposed to have been last seen in Smithfield Market, in the disguise of English Southdowns, but all trace of their whereabouts has since been lost.
