The two men injured in the fall of a cutting ut Whenuakura on Tuesday are progressing rapidly in the Hospital. They are both very cheerful to-day, and express grateful surprise at so many kind visitors calling to see them. Stockman got up to-day by way of a change ; and though he has not the use of his legs, which continue benumbed, he seems almost recovered in other respects. J. Lawn (not Lawrence) is also much better, and haa some use in one leg, but not in the other. His body is easier, and his spirits much improved. Twenty-six towns in Massachusetts voted this year in town meeting to petition the Legislature for a law securing municipal suffrage for -women.
