This Afternoon. THE WAY! EGYPT. Mr Gladstone on the War. __ WAR PREPARATIONS COMPLETED. London, 10th.—At a banquet at the Mansion House last night, Mr Gladstone referred at length to the Egpytian crisis, and stated that England was going to Egypt with clean hands, as she bad no secret intentions in regard to that country. England desired only to maintain interests which are identical with those of the whole civilised world. Mr Childers, Secretary for War, stated that all preparations for the despatch of British troops to Egypt were completed, and transports with detachments would now leave daily. Draft of Convention. Constantinople, 9th.—The draft of a convention between England and Turkey has been submittted to the conference. It provides that Arabi and his chief supporters shall forthwith be proclaimed rebels. Allusion is made to the friendly relations existing between England and Turkey, and the latter uudertnkes to support the Khedive in the suppression of the rebellion in Egypt.
