The loan scheme for £IO,OOO, which the Borough Council have unanimously resolved to carry out, is for the T_m. Egmont street —formation (from road opposite Spaniard’s) Ip Victoria street ; also footpaths formed . and gravelled ; sewerage below ground. This street will have sewerage .continued past TapHn’s comer, underboth channels. The formation southward will extend to Cricket Ground, and footpath on church side will go to cricket-gate. Sewage wilt include the side streets from Victoria street southward ; the main outlet being down Oxford street (Institute) across Rhodes’s swamp to the cliff. Drainage on the east side will go to river down Leicester street (Gibson’s corner) and down Bedford street. 4 Leicester street— gravelling, ' and one footpath to a cross street Just below Williams’s bouse. Cambridge street (past Holtham’s)—• formation, gravelling, and one footpath to cross street, near ; Usher’s. The for| mation will run on to the flat, the spoil being carried down. Cornwall- Street: — formation through Poverty Flat to the river ; also gravelling, and one footpath. ; 1 : Stafford Street —drainage past Albion Hotel, to connect with pipe in Leicester street. Devon street from Central Hotel to Hospital not to be completed out of loan, but to be graded at junction with Leicester street (Croft’s corner) and formed half; width to the next street along Dr Croft’s fence. Dorset Street —. part ■ formation from Odgers’s Hotel to back of Williams’s. Gloucester and BadjUld streets—formation, gravelling, and one footpath. Glon-
