Messrs- Horner's Monthly Stock I ReportManaia.—Our usual sale of stock took place on Wednesday the 19 hj inst., when 60 head of cattle and 490 sheep were yarded. Competition was not keen, only 3 pens being sold at the hammer; but with the exception of one pen of cows and one small pen of sheep, the remainder Were placed privately at fairly satisfactory prices. We quote—24-year-old steers, £4 ; cows in calf, £3 7s fid ; heifers, £3 4s fid ; mixed yearlings, £2 3s 6d ; a small pen of well-bred heifers, £5 10s ; milking cows, £3 15s to £5 ; weaners, £1 10s to £2 2s 6d ; ewes in lamb, for the pick, 12s 6d ; the run-out, 10s 6d. For horses there was no demand.
