Patea District Court.

The quarterly sittings of this Court commenced this morning, Judge Rawson presiding. One jury case was on the list, but was struck out, .one of the parties not being present. BANKRUPTCY DISCHARGES. Discharges were granted to the following bankrupts : W. Morris, carpenter. . AY. B. Howe, fellmonger. J. A. Petherick, carpenter. J. M’Guire, brewer and carpenter. Three others did not aypear, namely, I. Olson, W. Baines, and E. Doherty. W. AYil Hams’s application for discharge was postponed till motions are taken. PROBATE. Letters of administration were granted to Archibald Muir junr., and to W. Dixon, and P. Mahony in the estate of Peter Larsen, of Patea, North’s Opposition to Williams. Four motions to upset the proceedings in AY. Williams’s bankruptcy are to be made, an*d may occupy the Court many days. The first motion is to strike out eight proofs of debt as having been improperly exercised at creditors’ meetings. Evidence was being taken when we went to press.
