A Hard Case.

What can be done for James Keahone, a poor man from Hawera who is subject to fits ? He recently fell in a camp fire in a fit, and got dreadfully burned on the breast and left arm, the sinews being drawn up so as to be useless. Being alone in the bush he had dropped on the fire, and when he became conscious he had to walk seven miles to Norraanby with one arm roasted. He was sent to New Plymouth Hospital, and being partly healed he came out, and had another fit at Hawera, falling and cutting his lip clean through. He was then sent to Patea Hospital, and was progressing until last Friday when he had three fits. He has since been easier. But what is to become of him? It is not safe to be far away from help.
