Irish Repression Bill.
London, 16th.—Great efforts are being made to push the Irish Repression Bill through Parliament, and the provisions are being daily discussed in the House of Commons. Seven clauses of the measure have now been adopted in committee. Frozen Meat Cargo. London, 16th.—The Orient steamer
Cuzco, which left Melbourne on May Ist, arrived at Plymouth to-day. Her cargo of frozen meat is reported to be in excellent condition. Sculling MatchLondon, 16th.—The sculling match Largau versus Pearce, for £IOO a side, was rowed on the Thames to-day, and was won easily by the former.
IRONCLADS AND EGYPTMalta, 16th.—The English Channel Squadron has arrived here to reinforce the Mediterranean Squadron now at Alexandria. Several British transport! are also here, and are embarking troops in view of possible contingencies in Egypt. Egypt—Panic and ExodusAlexandria.—The panic among Europeans in this country is increasing, and the exodus continues. A large number of those who have left their homes have gone on board merchantmen and warships of their countries now in port.
