AN Election will be held at the Town Hall, Kakaramea, on Friday, the 23rd June, 1882, to Elect Seven Commissioners and Two Auditors. Nominations of Candidates, addressed to the Returning Officer, and delivered at the Town Hall, Kakaramea, will be received till noon of Friday, 16th June, 1882. Sheep Inspector’s Office, Patea, June 8, 1882. I hereby give notice to all SHEEPOWNERS in the Patea County to prepare Returns in accordance with Clause 21 of “ The Sheep Act, 1878.” Printed forms of Schedule A may be obtained from me on application. Clause 21. —Every owner of Sheep shall, between the first and thirtieth day of June in every year, deliver or cause to be delivered to the Chief Inspector, a written Return in the form provided in Schedule A, of the number of Sheep and Lambs of each sex exceeding three months old owned by him on the thirtyfirst day of May preceding, specifying in such Return the ear-marks and brands upon such Sheep. Every person refusing or neglecting to deliver or cause to be delivered sueh Return as aforesaid shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding Twenty Pounds.
