R. H. Nolan &Co-’s Monthly Report*
Produce Sales during the month have been well attended. Bidding was brisk, and goods were quitted at satisfactory rates. The clearing sale at Mr C. T. Roper’s nursery brought a large attendance of buyers. Bidding was brisk, everything realising high figures. The house and land were passed in at £530. Stock. —At our monthly sale at Manaia on Ist inst., there was a very poor muster of cattle, and few sold. At the Hawera yards on Bth inst,, a very nice lot of stock were brought to the hammer, and despte the inclemency of the weather and Comparatively small attendance of buyers, satisfactory rates were obtained, and every pen was cleared. : Cattle. —lß4 head were yarded. We quote yearlings 32s 6d ; 18-months old heifers, £2 16s ; fat cows, £4 2s 6d to £4 12s 6d ; cows and calves, £4 7s 6d ; 3-year-old steers, £5 14s 6d ; fat bullocks, £5 18s 6d ; milch cows, £4 10s to £4 15s.
