Momahaki Land Sale.

SVe are informed that about 9,000 icres of land, on the Momabaki block lehind Waverley, will be offered for sale

by Government in July. The date will be.fixed probably within a few days of the other large land sale on the Waimate Plains. , Two roads are made or almost finished to the Moraahaki block ; one striking inland near , Waverley (east side), and the other striking from the main road a short distance northward of Waitotara. Much of this land has been sectionally surveyed some time, bat allowed to lie unsold for want of reasonable activity in official quarters, It is only lately that this, land was

transferred . froth Wellington management, and placed . within tho West Coast Land District. It thus came within the district of which the Patea Land Office is the official centre ; and

10 time seems to have been lost since ;he transfer in getting roads made ;o the block so that intending buyers nay be able to get to sections and have ibme notion how they lie. Much of he 9,000 acres is reported goody a porion being ' rough, but fit for grazing Then cleared.

The sale of 40,000 acres of land on ;his* coast" will be a great and lively >vent. The Waimate and Moraahaki tales being within a few days of each

>ther, there will less dissappointment ihan is nsual; for those who fail to desirable sections at one sale will lave a chance to pick, np something suitable at the following sale. By purchasing in winter, the buyers rx]l save a season, as they will be able o.do ditch-and-bank fencing,: ami get msh felled before the burning season. Grangers will also see this, district in [grass at the depth of winter, and. may be more favorably impressed by that facttthanjf they came in summer.
