AMUSEMENTS.
The Opera Bonffe Company gave their postponed entertainment on Monday evening, in the Harmonic Hall, to a moderate audience. Those who stayed away missed a really clever and amusing, performance. The entertainment commenced with a series of nigger witticisms, some new and original, which excited the mirth of the listeners. Comic and sentimental songs also were rendered in a, most effective manner. Mr McAneny gave n laughing feong in masterly style. Our old friend Mr Crain was in capital voice, and was well received with his song “ Voice of the mountain land.” The other members of the company were above the average. An American song with a dance was the gem of the evening. Mr McAneny’s stump speech was decidedly funny. Mr St Clair was loudly encored for his song “ Madame La Charter,” and his clog dancing evoked shouts of approbation from the “gods.” The performance was brought to a close with a farce entitled “ Fun in Georgia,” in which all the members of the troupe took part. Madame Andree also contributed not a little to the musical part of the entertainment, her skill as a pianist drawing forth ranch applause,:
