LION TAMER ATTACKED.

Much excitement was created in Wilson’s Circus, Melbourne, by the attempt of the lion “Prince” (the same which bit a man’s hand off at Albury) to injure Djerling, bis keeper. When Djerling entered the cage Prince suddenly roared, and made a desperate stroke with his paw at Djerling, which just caught his ear, causing blood to flow. The other lions manifested an inclination to attack the keeper, and; roared furiously. Djerling immediately withdrew, much to the relief “of spectators.
