Rivers have been , much flooded along the coast northward!: ■ Nearly • all the bridges -from Pdnehu to Opunaki are swept away or damaged; Stoney-River has riot been flooded, strange to say.' The bridge atWarea b4ing down, the AX.s;are making a ford for' the coach to pass!' Tie 'Coach’on Saturday was stopped' at Rahotu.' The flax mill at'Opunaid.ha.s been stopped' the dam being .washed away, and the house flooded,. The river rose 9 feet, destroying everything , in the house, and carrying away : a -quantity of prepared flax. • Mr WagstaflE will lose seriously by the dam'; age..: -;: ■- ■;
