Resignation of the Governor.
{Reuter's Telegram.) London, 18th. —The Daily News states that Sir Arthur Gordon is about to resign the Governorship of New Zealand, The above intimation is not unexpected. Sir Arthur finds, himself distrusted and cavilled at by probably a majority of the active politicians and newspapers in this colony; and he is naturally anxious to be relieved of an unpleasant position. As to the source of the above report, the Daily News at Home is the organ of the Liberal Government now in power.
