The ordinary weekly parade of the Patea Rifle Volunteers took place last evening. There was a fair attendance. The snbjedTof taking part in the Easter encampment at Wanganui came np, and it was decided to hold a parade of the company (without uniform or arms) on Thursday, to discuss the matter. The town was enlivened last evening by the Patea Rifle Volunteer Band playing for an hour or more just off the main road in front of the Post Office.
