School Inspector’s Report.

Appended to the annual report of the Education Board of the District of Wanganui is the School Inspector’s report. The following are Mr Foulis’s remarks on schools within THE COUNTY OF PATEA/ ] Normanby. Inspected on 23rd December, 1881. Under a master and a pupil teacher. A school that presents 78 per cent, of its scholars, on the working average for the year, for a formal pass in the several standards, is on the right line of progress. And I have pleasure in reporting that this school has made progress during the year, the order being very good, and the general results of the examination, and in classes, up to the mark. The chairman of the school committee and others interested in the, cause of education were present 'throughout the examination. 5 * '
