Strike in America.
Great dissatisfaction is expressed by the laboring classes in the. United States, the present rate of wages beihg considered insufficient. An extensive strike has commenced and is spreading rapidly. ■ Riots in Burmah. The Kingdom of Burmah is, in a very disturbed state, owing to the tyrannical behavior of the King. Thebian riots have broken out in various parts of~the country. , , ; - , r , ; , Conference of Freethinkers. It has been arranged to hold a conference of Freethinkers at Rome in the autumn, at which, representatives, from the whole of the European nations will be present. - The. prasidencey of the conference is offered to Mr Bradlaugh..
