Small Pox.
London, 25th.—Telegrams are to hand from Port an Prince, capital of the republic of Hayti in the West Indies, anouncing that a serious epidemic of small-pox has broken out there. The disease is of a virulent type, and 4,400 deaths have already resulted.
London Markets. London, 25th.—Adelaide and New Zealand breadstuff's are unchanged; total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 2,830,000 quarters. Australian tallow has advanced by sixpence per cwt.; best beef is quoted at 39s 6d : best mutton 44s 6d.
WOOL. London, 25th.—At yesterday’s wool 5a1e.9,900 bales were offered. Market was steady, but demand, not active At to-day’s auction, 10,900 bales were catalogued, and tone of sale was firm. Next series of wool sales opens 16th May. Total probable quantity to be offered, 850,000 bales,
