A large flock of 3,000 sheep arrived to-day, driven overland from Napier for Mr Barker. Mr W. Colson advertises that he is resuming business in the butchery line, in a shop just erected on the Education reserve frontage, Egmont-street. Two hundred tons of rabbits are imported weekly into London. They are tame rabbits, reared by Belgian small farmers and exported by way of Ostend. Protection in Victoria amounts to the Langlands Iron Company wishing to continue to supply waterpipes at £1 per ton more than they can be imported for.
