London Wool Sales. London, 28th.—The new series' of wool auctions opened to-day. There was. a large attendance of home and foreign buyers. The opening catalogue comprised 6,100 bales. The bidding was animated, and good competition was experienced for the various lots offered. The prices ruling at the close of the late sales were firmly maintained. The N.Z. L. & M. Company have received a London cable, dated March IstThe ‘ wool sales opened at the level of tne last sales on the 2Sth Feb. Competition by both Home and Foreign buyers is active. The sales comprise about 26.5,000 bales. 35,000 bales havebeen sent to the manufacturing districts direct. The opening catalogue contains 6,400 bales.
