Sale of Education Leases.
Mr W. Cowern reports the sale at Patea on Saturday of several leases on the Waimate Plains, being 500 acres of endowment given to the Taranaki High School, divided into sections, as follow :
Lot 1, Sec. 24, Blk 3, Waimate, 100 acres, C. Days, at I3s 6d per acre Lot 2, Sec. 23, Blk 3, Waimate, 100 acres, D. Hughes, at 13s per acre Lot 3, Sec. 22, Blk 3, Waimate, 100 acres, D. Kelly, at 9s 6d per acre Lot 4, Sec. 21, Blk 3, Waimate, 150 acres, R. E. Mcßae, at 6s 6d per
acre Lot 4, Bee. 63, Blk 3, Waimate, 50 acres, R. E. Mcßae, at 6s 6d per
acre. The rental will be £245 per annum. The attendance of buyers was very large, and the competition keen.
