Roads to Patea Bush.

We understand that Mr Robinson, who is in charge of the bush party connected with the survey of Patea back country has received instructions to get a road felled one chain wide from the entrance of the bush to a point about four miles back. The contract will include grubbing the centre 16 feet wide. This road will run back between the two rivers, and give access to the bush land that is now being surveyed for settlement. The road-line continues along the Kaharoa track till an abrupt break is reached ; and it is intended to make branches from this road along the river frontages. The work of clearing will follow up the surveying.
