ELECTION VOIDED.

MR IVESS’S APPEAL. Telegram from Christchurch says: Mr Joseph Ivess has not been declared elected for Wakanui, the, election being declared void on account of irregularities in the roll. Both, candidates can stand again. The Court ruled-that the names of aliens and minors on the roll entitles such to vote. The returning officer had improperly struck off votes in the scrutiny, and had illegally refused to permit three qualified persons to vote. For these reasons fhe .election was declared void.
