London, 21st.—The Times to-day publishes « telegram, stating that Sir Henry Parkos, Premier of N.S.W., is already convinced that a reduction of the United States tariff on wool is at present impossible, but that he is hopeful that the American Government may bo induced to contribute towards the Australian mail subsidy, though proposals have up to the present met with strong opposition. Press Libel CaseWest port.—ln the libel case of Denniston v, Wright, of the Bnller News,
defendant has apologised, and the ease is withdrawn.
