Bradlaugli Expelled.
A NEW ELECTION
London, 21st.—In the House of Commons this evening, Mr Gladstone made a speech regarding the case of Mr Bradlangh. The Premier considered the conduct of that gentleman was scandalous, and he declined to lead the House, in the action which should be taken regarding him. Several abortive motions followed, and in the course of discussion Mr Bradlangh entered the chamber, but was ordered by the Speaker to withdraw, and did so. Finally Sir Stafford Nortbcote moved, and Mr Gladstone supported, a resolution that Mr Bradlaugh should be expelled the House. After a brief debate, the motion was carried. A new writ will now be issued for Northampton, and Mr Bradlaugh, it is understood, will again be a candidate for the vacant seat. Land Leaguers. London, Feb. 22nd.—Davitt, one of prominent Land Leagures, has been elected without opposition to the vacancy in the representation of Meath. Russian Movements. St Petersburg, 23rd.—The Russian Government has ordered General Skobeloff to proceed without delay to this city.
