Change of Sheep Inspectors.

We understand that Mr Richardson is appointed to be principal Sheep Inspector in this part of the Coast; that Mr Scaife will be sub-inspector in Patea, Hawera, and Waverley districts; and that Mr Mackenzie will probably be transferred to another district in the South Island. Mr Richardson’s centre aWi’ll be Wanganui, and Mr Scaife’s centre will be Patea. There is no distinct official complaint against Mr Mackenzie, so far as we are informed on direct authority ; but the InspectorGeneral seemed to think that a change would give more satisfaction to settlers, and would also be desirable as an experiment to see whether the scab nuisance can be removed from this part of the Coast by a complete change of system at Wanganui and Patea. The change has now been made at both places; and it is to be hoped the new Inspectors will receive the best assistance from settlers in eradicating the disease.
