CANTERBURY STOCK MARKET, (From Canterbury 'Times .)
Siieki*. — At the Addington Yards, on the Btb, owing to the very small supply of fat sheep, there was a good demand, and the few lines offered found buyers at an average of fully Is per head in advance of last week’s rates. Prime cross-breds sold from 12s to 12s 9d ; medium do., at 10s and 11s ; good merino, to Bs. 1;] to 2d per lb is an average for muttonFat Lambs. —A large supply offered, for which description the biddings were animated ; best lots sold from 8s Gd to 10s 5 good do., from 7s to Bs. A large number of store sheep were offered ; cross-bred ewes (full mouthed) realised fis 6d ; merino wethers (full and broken mouthed) sold at 4s 6d to 4s 9d.
Cattle. —A fair supply to hand, the bulk of which changed hands at prices about equal to late rates. We quote 20s per 1001b as an average. A few lines of store cattle were yarded, but there was no alteration in prices compared to late sales.
